Pirates and Latest Layout!

Yesterday, I went to the Crop for a Cure event at our local scrapbook store with some friends from church and work. We had a blast and ate great food! I was eager to start on Jack's album. Here is one of my finished layouts. I did five yesterday, but only completely finished this one. As some of you have already figured out, Jack has the whole pirate theme going on. He has a pirate car seat cover, a pirate diaper bag, a pirate wipey case, and pirate baby announcements. I have been on the hunt for pirate bedding, but I am just not impressed with what is out there. As many of you know, I am addicted to scrapbooking. It's my creative and social outlet. I usually meet with friends once or twice a month to scrapbook. Ant free time at home is spent in the office working on the kids albums. I am a year behind on Olivia's, three years behind on Nick's, and about four years behind on Jared's. So, in other words, I have enough to keep me busy for the rest of my life! I'll try and post some of my pages every now and then. Hey, what do you think of my french pedicure?

One Month Old!

It's hard to believe Jack is one month old! He continues to be an awesome baby. We can't get over how much he looks like Nick (with a touch of Daddy's forehead). It's a little depressing as all I could think about lately is having to return to work in two weeks! Fortunately, we have the granny nanny! It makes going back a bit easier, but it's still painful to think about leaving him! Now that Damian has his B.A., I am hoping to quit, or at least job share next year. It would allow me spend time with the little ones and continue to be General manager of the home (or at least do it better). So send a few prayers our way!

Finally!

Olivia was finally willing to sit with Jack for about 30 seconds. The lighting wasn't great in this picture, but hey, I had one willing subject. I'll try again later:0)

Jack-Picture of the Day

In my attempt to take a picture of Olivia and the baby, she threw a tantrum. In other words, no picture of Liv and Jack today. But I took this cute picture of Jack!

Fall Ball

Nick started baseball this week. He is very excited! He's a bit rusty, but with some extra practice with Daddy, we know he'll shine as he always does. We've been trying to help him understand that he's going to have to work very hard to make all stars for next year. Several of his buddies have made it and he really, really wants to. We feel he has potential to, but he'll have to work hard and stay focused. He was happy to be playing again! His team won today. Yea. We'll post more baseball pictures later.

Brothers

So I finally got around to taking some pictures. Olivia was willing to take pictures today, but I wasn't thrilled with the final product. So, we'll try again later! Jack was circumcized yesterday. I felt like a bad mother. He was real dopey yesterday. Amazingly, he slept well last night and would go back to sleep after feedings. I felt so good and he was doing so well this morning that I went to get a facial and pedicure.

More Jack

It is hard to believe Jack is one week old! It has seemed like one big long day and everything seems fuzzy! When we look at Jack, we can't help but think he is so worth it! Jack is such an awesome baby! He is gaining weight and looks less jaundice. We still have to wake him up to eat which is tiring. It is hard to nap during the day because Olivia needs attention too! Jack gets circumsized on Friday so I am mentally preparing for that! It's probably harder on me than on him and his poor winkie:0(. The kids are absolutely smitten with him and Olivia fights me for the baby even when I am nursing. She holds her arms out and tells us "take" when she wants to hold the baby. We think she got it from when I ask Damian to help me, I ask him to "take" the baby for me. I keep trying to take more pictures of Jack and the kids, but I get busy when the light in the house is good, then it becomes too late. It is on my long list of things to do, so keep checking back for more photos. Our ward has taken excellent care of us by providing dinner the past week. The food has been so good, I think I gained back some baby weight. Thanks for all the well wishes!!

Jack Jack

On Friday, our friend Steph took some fabulous pictures of Jack. We must say, he is too stinkin' cute! She shot him in a pirate setting as well and on Saturday she took some classic newborn pictures with daddy (and a few with mommy).Yesterday, we took Jack to the doctor as there had been some "blood" in his urine-or so we thought. Come to find out he was dehydrated a bit and the blood was what is called salmon patches. So we have to supplement with a bottle for the next two days and feed him every two hours. Jack is so mellow. He prefers to sleep over eating. As with our other babies, they would wake us up every 2-3 hours. We figured Jack would let us know. WRONG! We have to let him know. This involves getting him down to a diaper to wake him up to eat. The doctor thought he was a little jaundiced as well so we had to sit at Kaiser for about 2 1/2 hours that night to get lab work and test results. Of course, he's just fine. That was fun! Jack slept the whole time and all I could think was "I could be sleeping". Despite the lack of sleep. We are thoroughly enjoying getting to know him!
